here is step by step how to do it :
- Select a file or folder you wish to rename and left click on it once.
- Right click on it and then choose rename or just press F2 on your keyboard.
- Make sure NUMLOCK is on on your keyboard, usually you can find the switch on the right side of keyboard on the numpad part of your keyboard.
- Press and hold ALT button and then press 0160 (zero and then 1 and then 6 etc) on your numpad and then release the ALT button and press enter.
- If you did this correctly, your file or folder will have no name on it.
You probably realize by now that your file or folder actually has a name on it which is a "space" character. Yup you can't directly rename a file to a "space" character so you have to do this.
So what's the purpose of this trick ? for me there's no purpose, i did this to pull a prank on my friends or just to hide my "secret" files if you know what i mean.
by the way i tested this on windows 7 32 bit so i don't know if this will work on windows XP or windows 8.
That's all folks for my first post, hope you like it, cheers.
